Salt is a singular municipality in the province of Girona, Catalonia, Spain, mainly as regards the impact of its three waves of migration which have lead to 30,000 inhabitants from over 79 nationalities. The migrant percentage is up 47%.
The LABlearning project is implemented by the Youth Department of the Municipality. The Youth Department works for all young people in Salt aged between 12-30 years old. All the activities and work of the Department are collected in the Local Youth Plan.
As a local authority, the project will be supported at political level and working with the community network. The City Council partner will work in a consortium with several Catalan organisations who will implement de project activities.
